Cataclysm updates

08Apr10

Ok guys, we all know that cataclysm will be coming out before the end of the year, and with it.. Cataclysmic changes to the way the game works. (couldn’t resist) but until we have definite information (ie. the patch notes for the 4.0 pre-expansion test realm release) the little snippets here and there get really distracting.

We don’t yet know anything of substance concerning what will be happening months down the road when blizzard is ready to spring it on us. We know that concerning druids, bear form rage will be altered to be more consistent across the leveling range and on into endgame. (now there’s a term that needs to just go away.. there never has been an end game since the first expansion came, and probably never will be.)

We have heard that health pools will be increased to make spiky damage less of an issue both pve/pvp

we have heard that all the healy classes will have a combination of 3 (i think) of the 5 possible cleansing types.

All the peicemeal information does is make theorycrafters go nuts trying to guess what’s coming next and how it fits with this bit over here, and that bit over there. I am not a theorycrafter, i report on occasion the things I experience with my own four eyes. (mine and my character’s) What i’m trying to say, I think, is that it’s fine to try to make guestimates about what the expansion will bring, but lets not make that the focus for the next X months pre-expansion.

“Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present.” — Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (121 AD – 180 AD)

Good avice then, and now. That said, I can’t wait to try out a worgen druid… Somehow I feel that the humanform transformation will be sorta required if you plan on entering a major city and don’t want to get hit by flying rotten fruit.. hope they do make it so that you can mount when in humanform.
